The top quark, and its partner, the bottom quark, were both discovered at Fermilab.
The electric charge on the top quark is +2/3, the same as that on the up quark and the charm quark.
The mass of the top quark is ENORMOUS, nearly the same as the nucleus of a gold atom.
The mystery of this large mass is one of the most fundamental unanswered questions in current science.
