A strange baryon is one that contains at least one strange quark.
Strange baryons decay almost immediately after they are created.
Strange baryons were first discovered in cosmic rays.
We make strange baryons in physics laboratories. Physicists first found out about quarks by figuring out what the strange baryons had to be made of.
